Dr. Evode Mukama is an Adviser: Teacher Education at the Commonwealth of Learning. His areas of expertise include open distance and technology-enabled learning, pedagogical skills, and digital content development. Dr. Mukama has published books, book chapters, and several papers and articles in high-index referred journals. He delivered numerous keynotes at prestigious international conferences.
Dr. Mukama holds a Ph.D. in Information and Communication Technology in Teacher Education from Linköping University, Sweden, an MEd in Curriculum Studies from the University of Natal, Durban, South Africa, and a BEd from the National University of Rwanda, Rwanda.
Prior to joining the Commonwealth of Learning, Dr. Mukama was an Associate Professor in digital education at the College of Education, University of Rwanda.
Dr. Mukama has been a teacher in primary, secondary, and university education for more than 25 years. He has been a Board member of several Higher Institutions of Learning in Rwanda. He has been the Global Network Council Representative and the Creative Commons Rwanda Chapter Lead. He served as the Head of the Department of ICT in Education, Open Distance, and eLearning at the Rwanda Education Board. He also served as the Director of the Centre of Instructional Technology and Deputy Director: Research at the former National University of Rwanda.
