Deanne has over 30 years of experience successfully running large, complex initiatives through multiple industries. Deanne’s most recent work has centered around Strategy and Innovation across Optum Technology as Chief of Staff. She works with physicians, staff, and patients throughout the country to provide better provider and patient quality and experiences through process improvements and digital innovations.

Deanne was born and raised in the Washington, DC area. As the daughter of a CEO, she started working at a young age, interning in high school and college for agencies such as the Drug Enforcement Administration, the Office for Victims of Crime, and the U.S. Marshalls Service.  She attended the College of William and Mary and James Madison University and started her post-graduate career as a Program Manager for the Department of Defense’s Space and Naval Warfare Systems Command.

Throughout her career, she has both consulted for and led large, transformational programs in multiple industries including telecommunications, streaming and content delivery, and geospatial work. She was hired by Microsoft to lead the first successful launch of Aerial 3D and Streetside Imagery, which was purchased and is now used by Uber.

Deanne has always had a passion for serving and working with children, as her mother and grandmother were teachers and dedicated to early childhood education. She was a track and field coach for the Special Olympics in Northern Virginia, a reading tutor for disadvantaged third grades in Birmingham Alabama, a Junior Achievement leader throughout multiple schools in Colorado, and an adaptive ski instructor for Colorado Discover Ability in Grand Junction, Colorado. She volunteers whenever possible for Habitat for Humanity and Homeless shelters throughout Colorado. She recently started an organization within her community to provide monthly donations to different organizations and currently sponsors a nine-year-old girl attending Hope Haven in Rwanda, Africa.

Deanne and her husband Todd recently visited reading centers throughout several villages in Rwanda, and she is committed to the children of Rwanda. Her dream is to provide them the books, computers, space, and resources they need to achieve their dreams in life.
